windows update very slow

anyone have this issue ?
The first time I search for update, after fresh Windows 7sp1 install,
Windows update turn and turn many hours...
Windows server can be surcharged ?

I have the same issue, been that way for quite some time too.
I use to have the update program using like 2GB of RAM when running as well, but there were some tweaks that kind of fixed that.
I think it's the program it self that's broken and they just haven't fixed it yet (probably focusing too much on win10 *puke*)
