Hi to all!
I am Stefan from Germany and first need to say thanks for activate me to the Admin!
Next is a little sorry for my bad english  Grin

I live in Germany and love Audi cars and engines. I do much work with this and drive V6 engines much years.

My biggest project was a rallye prototype car with audi engine. I construct and build a tubeframe, suspension and all other things self. Engine for desert- rallye must be very solid, i use a V6 2.8l AAH. This was tuned from me old style, with this engine you can do much. Its no big problem to get enough power for this very lightweight car when change the right parts and work a little bit. And this engine always run, absolute no problems when very hot and dirty conditions... But after change the mechanic naturally must change the programming. This is unfortunately a bigger thing, for this old enginecontroller (Hitachi MMS-200) not much info are on market, i call tuner in germany but they dont need to make me a single solution for a price i can pay. Rallye is not cheap, i am not a millionair, and i love it to made my own thing and know things in the deep. This is the reason why i search and find here a .xdf for this old controller. Thanks to all people who share things here!

Reading the Eprom is not a big thing, writing a new one and put it in a socket- very easy. But when no experience with the search and change things between, you are lost and spend a lot of time. I work before with triject controllers, very good, but need to do it in future with original controller. Now i build a new engine for this car, after 3 rallyes, more than 10 000 km i think its the right time. And i have new ideas for change things  Grin

I need to learn for my projects, i have 3 streetcars with the same engine (i love it...) and need to test with this and improve what possible.

From my other live (i have a little company) i have mechanical and electronic stuff for test and build things. We build electronic and mechanic prototypes, normally for other solutions. Last automotive project for a friend was a transmission controller for a Mercedes 500 transmission. My friend build a trial car (Jeep) with this engine and transmission, we add a triject controller and build a own controller for transmission. Now he can switch it manually on the steering wheel. We use the original controller housing and connector, build a new pcb in (we have a pcb prototype mill and solder oven) and program it. Much work and much test on the original. Possible this solution can changed for other transmissions in future.

When i can help good guys with my experience on other things- i will do it. I am not the perfect programmer but in other areas possible i know and have a chance to do it. Ask! And i am in a country there are much parts for VAG cars, i know enthusiasts here with big experience and possible i can give back a little bit!

When i have more time i open a other thread with my project cars. Look at the attachment.

Have a good Day!
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

If you are close to Munich i might be able to help you. I do not know much about your engine controller but we might be able to figure out 2 3 things.
