It has been done before by MTM in Germany. The car is called MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport, here is a test video from german tv
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhFoJIGvNME
at 3:28 the testdriver talks about the fact that they converted the car to manual transmission.
i hope i could help you a little bit,
greets from germany

That's a S6 conversion to RS6 Wink
There were a lot of myths according this conversion.
Different gearbox housing layouts etc.
I can't check this, but old V8 automatic gearbox and 01E gearbox had the SAME design.
How ever.
Can't you leave the TCM in the car? Wink
Some guys told me you have have to update the instrument cluster panel.
But I checked this: http://ok-chiptuning.de/

According to my information they did a "real" RS& MT conversion.

The Cluster works fine in my 2.7 a6 2003

The abs Box can be recoded with the correct login, i did it on 2003 s6 manual conversion.

The magic is mabe in the ecu File to tell him how to be a Manual car.

Way to necro this with incorrect information.
The RS6 ABS can NOT be recoded to manual. S6 ABS is different because there was a S6 manual from factory.
