Please find attached two EDC 15 funktionsbeschreibungs & an EDC 16 funktionsrahmen that were posted on another amateur ECU forum in July if you haven't already seen them.

Thank you for the files. the edc15c doc and the 3.0 tdi a2l was new to me. thank you very much for that!!

It turns out the 3.0 TDi V6 DAMOS was one of the few posted up here in any case:t

does anyone know what the proper map names are for the popular tuning maps:

Drivers wish, SOI/BOI, Torque limiter, Duration map etc etc?

Basic fueling in EDC15

For basic tune-up you need modify following:
Driver wish = Fahrverhaltenkennfeld (mrwFVH_KF)
Smoke map = BEG Rauchbegrenzungs kennfeld (mrwBRA0KR)
Torque map = BEG Drehmomentbegrenzung (mrwBDB_KF)

Function of injection quantity is driver wish (Fahrverhaltenkennfeld mrwFVH_KF) -> torque map -> smoke map -> engine

Smoke map depends on mass air flow sensor (MAF).
Torque map depends on atmosphere pressure.

Don't forget to add correspond amount of air! Otherwise black smoke will go from exhaust.

Turbo pressure modify:

Turbo pressure demand = LDR Sollwert-Grundkennfeld (ldwSWBGKF)
Turbo pressure limiter = Max.wertekennlinie (ldwMXWKF)
Turbo pressure single limiter = LDR untere absolute Sollwertgrenze (ldwSWBLDMX)

Function is demand -> limiter -> single limiter

I hope that will be helpfull for others newbies in diesels and still working on translating but diesels are very simple to remap ...

Hi cam.

Thanks for that. I'm interested in diesel remapping (theoretically at least). I would like to remap our Toyota D4-D 116 PS but the Denso ECU has a high level of rolling encryption (so I'm led to believe) thus a physical kit is needed, worse luck.

Yes, Diesel remap is very simple

Can you post the EDC16 translation please?  I think I have found most of it.
