Considering KFLF for a Stage 1 tune (no rescaling, so easily hitting 10ms "load"), isn't it a little bit too rich for high loads? Many tuners advise to either leave fuelling alone for stage 1, or to add a bit of fuel to be on the safe side. But I would tend to do the opposite here.
If everything else is set up properly and there are no other significant fuel corrections, the target AFR from stock KFLF at 10ms load (should be around 1.1bar boost) is as follows: 4000rpm - 11.8; 5000rpm - 11.1; 6000rpm - 10.8 (I simply divided 14.7 by KFLF).
Would you up it a bit?
This would also help with the IDC hitting 100% somewhat.

Doktor, I keep believing there must be something here we're missing:

1.8t AJL 180hp (same hardware as AEB but with a tune from the factory) does come as I say with exactly the same hardware as the 150hp version. The 180hp tune does read from the factory 150g/s of air at 5800rpm (logged myself)

From your findings, the 180hp version of the 1.8t A4 may have inssuficient fuel flow from the factory, and I cannot belive AUDI using insufficient hardware to release a car to production. Even it would of been impossible to develop a Stage 1 tune for these vehicles and they have been around almost since the day the 1st 1.8t rolled out of the factory.

Just an opinion in this case.

Hi Marantz,

I hit 100% IDC at around 140-145 g/s, I'm certan I am measuring it correctly. The car runs very well otherwise, I also tried a new MAF, runs still the same although I did not check the idc with that one. Fuel trims are in the low single digits. Considering how the stock fuelling is very rich, I can imagine 150g/s is still quite rich, so probably fine even for a factory tune, although with 100% idc.

From your findings, the 180hp version of the 1.8t A4 may have inssuficient fuel flow from the factory, and I cannot belive AUDI using insufficient hardware to release a car to production. I think I read somewhere that the AJL is a bit under 180hp in reality when measured on dyno (though your maf measurement might say otherwise?). Reputable tuners say these engines are good up to about 190hp, where, from my findings, the AFR will rise from the table values due to injector limitation, but since the stock fuelling is that rich it should still be okay. A rough calculation says around 12:1 afr at 190hp with 100% idc.

Anyway, I already swapped in the 4bar FPR and adjusted FGAT0, works very good, running 170g/s while just hitting injector limitation (don't want to go higher to protect the turbo). And that is with the stock rich fuelling which might be dropped a bit...?
