Hi,

Would you be so kind, to use the Nefmoto software and with the aid of a cheap
vagcom-dongle, read-out your original software and post it up over here ?

It is also possible to do it over obd via a kwp2000plus interface. If you need
directions/software, give me a shout.

This all, to see which definitionfile will come close to your original software that now
is in your ecu.

I just had a look in etka, and etka doesn't list your ecu for your S3. Only the TT-R.
So this may be a small hint that something happened to the car....

Eemmmm  archive-date from file 1996 ...   Please read-out the file of your ecu Wink

I took a look in my TT archive, and i have 1 version of the AE ecu.  version 0001.

So would like to know what softwareversion you have in yours.

Don't worry Wink  We are very patiĆ«nt over here (most forum-members are).

I got also a extra question. Your ecu might be they swapped for another one,
or transformed it to another software. To check this, you can look on the
sticker of the ecu, what ecu you really have. This might be a bit of a hastle,
but it lives under the plastic caps that cover the window-wipers in front of the
car. To access it, you need to undo the window wipers and the plastic covers.
slide the ecu a bit forward, and you should be able to see what the sticker says.

Hi Cam. Are you based in the U.K. by any chance? If so, don't try to flash the ECU yourself, save up a few hundred pounds and go for a commercial remap. That is probably tantamount to a heretical statement on an amateur tuning website, but here are my recommendations:

You could try Vagcheck in Staines, Middlesex. Their remaps are done by a professional calibrator and both the guys that run it are very knowledgeable on diagnostics and custom remapping. Failing that, AMD Tuning in Essex are also highly regarded as are Awesome GTi in Manchester (Revo Technik agents) and Star Performance in Kirkcaldy, Scotland who use OCT in Germany for their remaps.

I think 'cam' is based in czechaslovakia...  so that will be a bit
out of his league Wink

B.t.w. talking abouth english tuners, what do you think about R-tech and
carbon-chiptuning ?

I also can't recommend any proper tuners over in his country, as i'm from Holland Wink
and don't know any (yet) over there.

We have JD-Engineering, as the ultimate v.a.g. wizard. over here. Well known in Europe.
Aka Jeroen Dik (G60 era).

Hi, thank you, i have knowledge about remap. I know remap diesels and few months back start learning MEx and yesterday i bought Audi TT 225HP APX with this ecu and i want to get best from engine (630cc, GT30, ...) and i need to know if better to change ecu to other type or get any damos. I want to set launch control and i have at this time map pack with few maps located ...

Hi,

Well well..  630cc, GT30 ...  thats more than software only, my friend. Time to upgrade
the conrods, or you will not only have banana's for sale @ local groceryshop... but will have
airconditioningholes punched by the original conrods in the block, and bend all others to banana's that haven't snapped areadly Wink  Time for forged H-beam conrods.

The original pistons can hold 350-400 bhp. But it all depends on your current mileage (real mileage on the engine, and how it is driven by the previous owner(s) as of wear.

200.000 km or more : new forged pistons and a oversize rebore please. If you want to enjoy the power all day long.

When i have some time left, i'll see which damos suits the AE ecu best/ comes close.

Any info on the tuned software ? (if not want to publish on this public thread, please pm me. Just out of interest/educational info.

Engine have real 225.000 km.
I want about 400HP so i will change pistons and rods.
Driving from previous owners dont know of course Sad I think heavy in this car but engine looks good and fresh ... Smiley
Do you recommend to change this ecu to another or not for better mods? Launch control need set to this weekend Wink

Tuned sw is from unknown tuner, i got my mod and works better and no difficult to get 7000 as before with unknown mod ... You thing is good or not?
