Can some one please tell me how to extract the .bin file from this Winols attached or at least tell me which version it is.

I got it from one of Tonys listing in the XDF section but it doesn't relate to either of the 8n0909618f files included.

It would be a great help if someone could either tell me or extract the bin file .

Hi,

Full version is needed to export a.k.a. 'save' stuff in winols.

Be aware that .ols projects like these can be very VERY beta, and can differ from the real manuf's version of the binary.

Cheers,

PvL

Exactly. Don't use that extracted file as a starting point for a binary, rather just a roadmap and suggestion as what to modify.

^^^ What they said.  ALWAYS start with the unmodified original bin directly from an ECU.  The checksums will haunt you forever.

Hi all

Nope not using the file on a car. I just needed the file so I could load it in map analyser to compare maps with a stock map off the car, was more for the map address and axis. It turns out to be very similar to the 8l0906018n apy audi s3 which I've desperately trying to finish my .xdf. Which now done with the help of the .ols file. I was only using it as a reference.

Thanks anyway for the heads up and help.

A small hint: Open the .ols file in hex editor, search for the binary header: "FA007064h" and select data block of 524288 bytes (80000h) or 1048576 bytes (100000h) depending if your binary is 512kb or 1024kb. Then save the selection area as a new file, there is your binary.

hello nottingham, thank you very much for your reply.

Is it possible that you can do it for me? because i am afraid to damage my ecu if i upload it when i have change it from ols to bin.

Maybe if you want can you change the egr. Its very easy in winols

you need to change this ( yellow circle) in 000

In the ols file i already did that but maybe you can do it for me in the file below and then export it to bin for me. If you do that i will appreciate it very much
