Title: probably a dumb question.. make keys fit 2 ecus? Post by: Stompen on May 23, 2012, 12:58:51 PM I have a ecu 8e0906018, nd the original for my car is 8e0909518. From what I can see both are used for the 2002 a4 b6 1.8t fwd man.
When I put the 906018 in the car with software from the ori ecu, it wont start because of the immo. So I was wondering, is it possible to make the immo recognise the key for the for both ecus? But the immo does not recognize the ECU. Easiest option - kill the immo in one of the ECU's. The ECU knows absolutely nothing about your keys. I thougt that was the whole meaning of cloning the immo to a different ecu..??

I have the eeprom tool from the first answere here, but I still cant read the eeprom.. I keep getting an error when it searches for the pin... any ideas? A big tanks to Julex for showing me in the right direction, and thank you to prj.. I have a seat ibiza in spain where the immo keeps us from starting the car when its too hot outside (faulty ecu??), so next week when I go down there I will kill the immo on it. :) |
