Just flash with MPPS or whatever you have. It will take care of it. Title: P0602 on some newer me7.5 ecus(2004 MY) Post by: guentherkapp on January 17, 2015, 12:50:52 PM I ran into this recently as well on my 2005 AWP 1.8T Jetta wagon.
It occurred after the initial read of the flash, but I admit I could speculate that this my mistake, in not properly disconnecting after the read, meaning I closed the application (NefMoto flash reader) instead of selecting disconnect before. So there is the potential that the missing disconnect command has caused this, unless the application does this automatically before it closes. Anyway, the only way I found to overcome it was to reflash with the file I had loaded before. Multiple reads did not help (I did several experiments before). Please allow me to ask (it is just my engineering mind) - do we understand the root cause of this? I assume - yes, since otherwise the ASM (programmatic solution, assuming ASM stands for assembler) might not work in all of the cases. It was designed to work with an earlier generation of me7 that didn't contain this code.
Most professional tools don't have the issue.
