Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: AmIdYfReAk on December 10, 2011, 06:32:49 PM Bump, I'd also like this...
Looking for the rear o/2 heater CEL mainly. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: AmIdYfReAk on December 10, 2011, 06:46:21 PM (http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/2238/dlerrortable.jpg)
also, could someone confirm to me that what i'm looking at and poking with a stick is some of the CELS. Checking on other files, there are large differences in this area, and the 00, 01 and 03's make at least some sense. Edit: 0001a2f8 to 0001A312 seems like another good area. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: Gonzo on December 10, 2011, 08:09:29 PM The PROKON bits are the easiest of them all on the MKIV 1.8T.
You are in the right place. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: AmIdYfReAk on December 10, 2011, 09:00:05 PM Thanks for the confirm Gonzo,
I'll switch em off, check, and continue that till the rear heater CEL gets lost. fun times :) Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: Gonzo on December 10, 2011, 09:05:20 PM Yeah np. The failure class/endstufe DTC's are in a different place though. I'm very busy with this Audi/Passat file that I have no time to check but if you grab a 1.8T damos you should be able to find them easily.

(http://i.imgur.com/gKRzr.png) This is for 032DL SW 360227 only. There is two (or more) versions of DL out there. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: AmIdYfReAk on December 17, 2011, 08:41:35 PM Thanks for that,
the DL that I'm working with is: 368009. I'm still lost for this whole defining thing, i keep hearing that the damos can be "ported" over to most... Meh, i guess I'll take another crack at Andy's site and see what i find. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: Zac on December 17, 2011, 09:31:56 PM AmIdYfReAk - Here's a really quick run-through to how I've been finding the maps I need on these ME7.5 1.8T ECUs:
* - Now that I'm looking further into it this might not work 100% for those error classes! You'll have to do lots of manual comparison & tweaking the offsets I think?? Might be slightly different with the DL? (I may have gotten lucky with the HN <-> HS matching) This should still be able to find the maps for you though.
This shit is time-intensive. There's a better way to do this but I don't know it. (Maybe like how setzi's logger has ME7Info.exe which can identify the RAM variable locations in the different ECUs. Possible that the same idea could be used for the map locations?) Example: In 06A906032DL 0261206890 360227 [I don't have your 368009] error classes (Fehlerklasse) start at 10710 (-85 offset from HN) Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: AmIdYfReAk on December 19, 2011, 11:02:24 PM Great info Zac,
I'll need to start taking a crack at this... Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: Blonde_Ambition on October 31, 2012, 10:49:37 PM Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but has any headway been made with the DL definitions file? Ive been trying to crack this with the HN damos, and its not going exactly swimmingly for me.
I am working with the 360227 SW version. It May be the beer talking, but its kicking my A$$ right now. Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: ElDominio on December 14, 2012, 10:36:15 PM I'm on the same boat... trying to figure out a way to define this darn thing...
This is my first post, too.... Is there any way I can show that I am willing to learn about this so I can receive help??? I really want to find out how to work these things... Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: ddillenger on December 15, 2012, 01:01:07 AM Open both files in a hex editor. Go to the location of a known map (use the HN damos), and then search in that area for a similar map in the DL hex. Patterns will emerge. It sounds intimidating, but it isn't as bad as you would think.

After reading through this thread I see there are multiple versions for th DL. How can I be sure I'm working on the correct one? Thanks so much Title: Re: Definition for the 06A906032DL Post by: professor on January 12, 2013, 02:22:28 PM How did this work for you? I'm about to start doing the same here... Thanks so much There is a great and very usefull program shared inside nefmoto, called me7check (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=447.0). This provides you enough info to verify which exaclty sw you have in hands and was made for reporting if present checksum errors. It can run on cmd prompt as it is dos executable. I ll attach it in order to use it your own. Use it as follows and should get same results on your file: C:\>ME7Check.exe map_AWW_06A906032DL.bin ============================================================================== ME7Check v1.11 (c) mki, 06/2004-07/2011 Checking file map_AWW_06A906032DL.bin (size=1048576) Reading Version Strings... -> Bootrom Version = 05.12 -> EPK = 40/1/ME7.5/3/4019.20//24b/Dst03o/280800// -> Contents of ECUID data table: - '0261206890' (SSECUHN) - '1037360227' (SSECUSN) - '06A906032DL ' (VAG part number) - '0003' (VAG sw number) - 'MICROCHIPS TUNIN' (engine id) -> Contents of ECUID data table: - 'HW_MAN004' -> No errors found.
