Title: Need a custom tune for my car. I made a stock base file 4 my setup ready. Will PAY!
Post by: AudiMan85 on November 19, 2014, 10:32:03 PM
Ok, so I've been trying to tune to the best of my abilities. But I've gotten to the point where I'm using a L-box of NVR's 2++.

I have changed some settings and removed dtc's I needed too. I have removed emission stuff and just added w/m injection. But I'm not able to do what I really want and play with more adjustment for more HP and smoother operation. I'd prefer to log and flash the files and I'm willing to pay.

What I have already done, is my basic L-BOX setup for my needs but stock. It's a 2000 A6 2.7T, so I'm using the S4 551 L-Box. All the evap stuff and wha tnot codes are removed. SAI removed already, rear o2's removed, left foot braking, and changes for the Red 2.0T coils and also converted to Hitachi, but I can rewire my Bosch back in.

I plan on going with a whole stage 3 kit in about a year when I have the money for it. So I really just want something that maxes out k03's and my other mods.

So I can provide the base L-box file setup for my cars hardware configuration. Then someone custom tune the files. I can log and what not. Flash it.

So if someone can help me, please PM me so we can figure out a plan and cost.

Car Info

2000 A6 2.7T
145k  (all new timing hardware other recommendations done)
Forged DV's
S4 Intake Manifold
Cleaned Throttle Body
NEW Stock TBB
NGK 7 plugs @ .028
Boost leak tested system is solid
ICM Delete and Red 2.0T coil swap (ecu changes for dwell changed)
Hitachi MAF - Was Bosch Factory (ecu changes made as well)
2 New Upstream o2 sensors
Open Elements Air Filter to a stock airbox that's feeding filter air (pic below)
[
Snow Performance Stage 2 w/m kit 50/50 mix
- 220psi pump dual nozzles 225ml each progressive injection start 6psi and 100% @ 15psi are the lowest settings it's VC-100 controller.
XSPOWER SMIC's with stock scoops still
XSPOWER 3" V-Band Flex Cat-less Tiptonic Downpipes
-Stock all the way to the back, I removed mufflers. I plan to finish exhaust this week with two
MagnaFlow 10415 or 10416's but Lee at FTG said they will have a cat-back next week for sale. So I may wait to see what that's like so I have a nice solid exhaust not some backyard garage setup.

Daz Stage 1 TIP-CHIP
New Transmission fluid filter and TC.

I have ME7LOGGER setup with Neyts recommend parameters he likes to log. So I'd like to take full advantages of my w/m injection and 93 octane. I have tried and I'm not good at dialing these types of cars in.

I mean I'm offer money. Will someone who's knowledgeable be willing to help? I try to do my best I just lack the ability 100%

Thanks Guys.
LmK

Why don't you just post up some logs and the collective can give some advice on making it better yourself?

The NVR file as a base for a tip car is never going to feel right. Post what you want to change about it or what drivability you want to have. I hate to see a guy like you that has learned so much just give up.

Here you go, added _dwell so you know its the file with the changes. I also included the change-log that TunerPro outputs. Enjoy. File has been corrected, no errors.

If a print page comes up when searching just load the page and delete "action=printpage;" from the URL.  You'll then have the regular page.

When I get home I will share my XDF. It has tons of stuff defined. It's a mix of a popular one and Daz's from like a year ago. I have my MTX plugin imported into it. I will get what I can sent to you via email since I need to put on a flash drive and transfer to my tablet.

I just got a Lonovo IdeaTab Mixx 2 8" with full Windows 8.1 and it works great. Flashes and datalog.. It's smaller then my Acer Aspire One and Quad Core but I'm still setting it up. They go used on Ebay for $110. The seller has 25 of them. I also got a 3 way OTG cable, 2 usb ports and a micro-usb for charging. Comes with 32gb internal storage but also took my 128gb microSD so it's gonna be a nice logging and flashing tool. Others should look into it.

That sounds like a really useful tool, I was thinking of porting a bunch of stuff over to android, but just using a windows tablet might be a lot , lot easier. Maybe I need a 3rd tablet...

Mines basically the same things as that. Specs are alittle different. But same thing basically. It's quick. Screen dpi is nice, I'm happy with it. I got the single OTG cable but I ordered the 3 way cable from China for $2.80 so it be 2 weeks b4 I see it.

Gonna finish setting it up. But everything is working great. I have a A6 and thinking about 2 different mounts for in the car. One for the air vent or the dash board kind that goes down on a sharp angle and would put the tablet right on top the air vents. I also have a cobra Bluetooth to Tape deck adaptor and have sound thru stereo and my ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 hooked up to some apps the ELM327 came with for Windows. The one OBD2 app accesses the ecu and TCU separate. I will test them on tablet and let you know how it works.

Here's link to Tablet.

Here is the xdf I been using for over a year. Now credit for it goes to Daz for all the hard work but any mistakes or stuff that's incorrect is me. Like I said this is what I use and some info maybe wrong but it's really complete. This should be used to compile your own xdf.

My Stream 7 turned up, so far it seems to be working pretty happily with nef and VCDS:
(iphone 5 for scale)

Screen is very nice and the build quality is amazing for a $100 tablet. It feels a bit small using regular windows with the touchscreen, but metro works well, maybe a 8' tablet would be nicer. Think we should break this out into a seperate topic?

Provided you set the power management up properly and keep a eye on the battery life, they should be no less stable than a laptop.

Sweet looks good. And yea it's been working great for me.

Daz has been helping me tune. He's great car feels awesome. Having some trouble with my wideband install datalogging. The 3" catback I will get done next week or by weeks end of next week and then hopefully it's gonna be dialed in perfectly.

What dp's are you running? I've been holding off tuning mine until I've got rid of the precats.

I am very happy with the XSPOWER 3" Catless Flex V-Band dp's. They sound great. My friend has installed 3 sets of the same pipes after mine and said one set of DP'S touched the transmission mounts. I did contact Lee at FTG to advise him of it just for quality control. The problem was easily fixed but just a warning that if u don't pull motor and transmissions be ready to need a little bending and denting maybe. Maybe is keyword. My pipes I helped install while motor was out for a new torque converter and some boost control line repairs from rat damage. But they went on and fit great. I have pics with them installed on motor.
