Post by: ktm733 on February 20, 2015, 08:35:20 AM
Question say i have a stock everything 1.8t b6 a4 and i try to boost to say 24psi. Yes i know don't do this I'm using this as an example.  Is there a load limiting based on injector on time being maxed out?

No, the car will go lean and you'll break something.

Hm then i will my file and logs when i get home. I can't boost over 18psi. Even if i set wg duty cycle to 95 percent. Something is limiting me. Ive changed all limiting factors to. Fuel stays at .85

So You need to check Your hardware for leaks , wastegate opening pressure, N75 ...

Can someone check out my file and see if I'm maybe missing a load limiting factor? People are talking about kfmldmx which I haven't defined yet, in progress.

Yea you'll need to see what your wgdc is actually doing. If it is pinned at 95 then you have a mechanical issue. And regarding your question about the conversion for kfmldmx I bet it is x * .005 (different thread sorry ha)

Also, in my experience if you max out the injectors your fuel trims will briefly sky rocket. This causes the requested lambda to go below the lambda limit and causes fuel cut. (Or something like that) I remember seeing in ida a condition for injector shutdown if your requested lambda went below like 10:1 afr. Not 100% on the specifics but you'd definitely know that you maxed your injectors.

Wouldn't the system close the throttle body/ open the DV / do something else if it saw AFR/EGT that far out of range? I was under the impression ME7 had quite a few safety's in place. What if the line to the wg split?

It might go limp. Maybe.
