Title: 07K ECU Definition Post by: A4Rich on February 28, 2015, 03:40:19 PM With the recent 07K B6/B7 swaps, I would like begin to define a bin. Although at this point for me it is only fun/learning, but that may change. I have targeted a 2006 ME7.1.1 ECU (Infineon, not ST10) hoping to use similar bins to define.
I have only started; will update this with new information as I go. BIN: ME7.1.1 Here (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6049.0) Code: C:\ME7\ME7Logger_v1.23>me7check 07K906032AN 6738.bin Read: MPPS or galletto 1260 (to be confirmed) Checksum: ME7sum – not working ECUfix – not supported Flash: Boot mode Wiring Diagram: Courtesy of zillarob Here (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7712.0) Motivation: Courtesy of mec from audizine (http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/17/f2104e820629712fa914acf0150d9763.jpg) Title: Re: 07K ECU Definition Post by: ddillenger on February 28, 2015, 03:52:15 PM Rich, ditch the ST10 ecu, get an earlier C167 model. 2006. It's the very best option.

Shoot, thanks DD thought I had found one based on the year. How did you know (besides that your awesome :)) that the bin above was ST10? Any way to know without opening ECU? Title: Re: 07K ECU Definition Post by: ddillenger on March 01, 2015, 07:58:18 AM Nevermind. Your ecu is a 2006, automatic. When you said no checksums, I assumed you had the bastard ST10 ecu!

Title: Re: 07K ECU Definition Post by: ddillenger on March 01, 2015, 11:08:38 AM 2006 and early 2007 have the C167. Late 07-early 08 have ST10. 09+ has MED17.
I have worked with them all. The early ones are VERY much like the rest of ME7. The ST10 ecus are horrible. Title: Re: 07K ECU Definition Post by: vwaudiguy on March 01, 2015, 11:11:30 AM So is it just the 4.2's and the 2.5's that have the ST-10 processor?

Not the best candidate ecu but will start with this and look for an 07K 906 032 C out of a early manual beetle. Title: Re: 07K ECU Definition Post by: B5Quattrolife on October 11, 2018, 12:17:56 PM Anyone have any updates on this? Also looking for .XDF for the ME7.1.1 07K bin
