Mybe a noob question :-[ But i ask anyway! :D Is all VAG ME9.1 compatible with each other? i mean is it poosible to use Golf 6 2.0TFSI software on a Audi S3 2.0TFSI ECU? ??? Hope you can take your time to answar me on this!? Thanks Guys! ;D Title: Re: Is ME9.1 compatible with each other Post by: ddillenger on March 19, 2015, 04:00:23 PM Yes. Title: Re: Is ME9.1 compatible with each other Post by: prj on March 20, 2015, 06:10:41 AM MED9.5 I believe, similar to Audi RS6 and TT-RS ecu's, quite different in some ways from the earlier MED9.1 stuff.
Title: Re: Is ME9.1 compatible with each other Post by: IamwhoIam on March 20, 2015, 10:03:07 AM Golf R uses the same ECU as ANY other 2.0 TFSI with MED9.1.
TT-RS and RS6 ECUs are also not 100% the same and not compatible, and they are MED9.1.2, not MED9.5. Title: Re: Is ME9.1 compatible with each other Post by: RaraK on March 20, 2015, 10:21:16 AM Hey! Thanks Guys! ;D Not necessarily, there are some differences in SOFTWARE that will not work directly, as well as hardware on the specific car, Dash, Sensors, Turbo, etc..... Don't remember all the denominations, but TT-RS and RS6 both had a different MPC chip inside IIRC and some of the torque control was different. Some traces of MED17 were present too. Been a bit now since I had either of those on the table. Title: Re: Is ME9.1 compatible with each other Post by: IamwhoIam on March 21, 2015, 12:37:10 PM I usually have meals on my table :D

Reason i ask i have a good Golf R file that i want to use in my S3. but have been told i maybe brick my ecu if i flash with Golf R file. checksum calculation is not any problem . You think this will happend?

You think this will happend? You shouldn't do that. The ecu won't brick, but the software is very chassis specific.
