MKIV VW VDO Cluster Seed/Key Algorithm

I disassembled a bunch of the cluster ROM (VWK501MH) and discovered how the challenge/response works, which is needed to allow dumping the EEPROM. The algorithm can be found here:

I've written some software that can dump the EEPROM and perform a few other functions to VW MKIV clusters and CCMs:

this algorithm applies to seed/key 2701/2702?
