The Oil level sensor on the R32/TT platform is a powered sensor, so just resistoring it out doesn't work.

ITs common on the 1.8T to switch to steel bottom pans which don't have the bosses in the metal to mount the sensor.

I am trying to figure out where in the ECU code it might be possible to delete this sensor but am not sure where to begin. I was wondering if anyone has done this with success ?

Thanks

Oil level sensor connects to instrument cluster.
Sensor error handler is inside cluster software.
ECU can (not must) recieve oil level information via CAN-bus and custer based CAN-Gatway

so it would need to be coded out of the cluster rather than the ECU ?

Coding via VCDS?  I have never tried it before but been told thats the way to do it, so might be worth looking into
