No the SKC (security Key Code), is what I used to login with and make relevant adjustments.

In the cluster but also in the ECU. I don't have my mk4 wiring running anymore. So my ECU's are already recoded.
Actually, that reminds me. I have to find my copy of my SKC's for my ECU's. whoops


You do need to use a tool such as Vag Tacho or Vag K commander to pull the SKC from the cars ECU/cluster

i bought this kit to get SKC numbers, reprogram mileage, shut IMMO off, reprogram keys etc. works very well and has never let me down.
