Hi guys, I have a 06A906032DR on a Golf IV AUM year 2001.

Can I flash my ECU with a 06A906032HJ from a Golf IV AUM year 2002?

The main difference I know is that 06A906032DR is IMMO2 and 06A906032HJ is IMMO3.

I have checked the bootrooms and must been compatible:

$ ./ME7Check_linux /tmp/06A906032HJ\ 0002\ 0261207436_362287\ 1.8T\ 150.bin

I suppose I may have some problem with the IMMO but if the rest of the car works well it could be adapted. Put another way would be a way to put IMMO3 in a car that has IMMO2 originally  Cheesy

This will work fine with an immo3 e2p written to the ecu.  Easiest thing to do is grab a virgin immo3 e2p, immo off it, and use the argdub tool in bootmode to flash it.

Sorry, but can you explain me the meaning of e2p?

Remmember, I want to flash IMMO3 bin on a IMMO2 ecu. Or want to say buy a IMMO3 032HJ ECU and IMMO off it?

Okay, I think I get it.

The procedure would be:

-Get the data on the 95040 chip from a 032HJ (for example).
-IMMO off it.
-Write them in a 032DR using argdub in bootmode.
-Write the 032HJ bin in the 032DR using Nefmoto.
-Enjoy a full defined file  Smiley

Is correct?

yes, that should work.  Since you are in bootmode for e2p write, it might be easier to write the flash in bootmode too.

Thanks! Will try using the bench.

If nothing happens, I'm going to test it this week and I'll tell you how it works, I hope the wiring going to the 032HJ is the same as going to the 032DR and that the hardware works well with the new software.

Next up will be to enable IMMO3 to add a bit more anti-theft security. I changed the original cluster IMMO2 (1J0920825) for an IMMO3 (1J0920846) and it is a good opportunity to take advantage of it  Smiley

As an aside, you might want to edit the topic of your OP to help noobs trying to use the search function.

Hell, edit all of your posts.

It's "IMMO" not "INMO"
