Bosch ME7.5.10 Software#: 036997032Q Software ver: 9731
Hi everyone,
I have upgraded my throttle body to a non-VAG one. Manufacturer, plug and flange is identical to my AUB manifold. Everything is OK in VCDS, except for the adaptation which fails. I have tried swapping the interior of the TB but they aren't interchangable.
The adapation returns an error: 17987 - Throttle Body Controller (J338) - Adaptation Not Started - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded. If I clear the DTCs, the idle is rough and when going over a certain speed, the car goes into limp mode, and throws a couple of non-plausible signals including the throttle position. When checking in VCDS the throttle valve angle is the only difference. OEM value 1 is 18% and value 2 is 82%. Replacement value 1 is 18 and value 2 is 76%.
My question is, is it possible to fix this through a map or should I just disable these DTCs and hope that the car will run?
