I would like to use ECUx (I know, I should be the effort in to try ME7, but happy I have ONE logger working) on my other cars (instead of VAGcom).
1996 A4 2.8 auto
1998 A4 1.8T quattro manu Giac PC16
1999 Passat 1.8T FWD manu Giac stage 2
2002 Allroad manual (currently custom stage 2, soon stage 3)
2001 Allroad tip (custom stage 1, scheduled for stage 2)
2001 Allroad tip (stock)

I know the Allroads will work (just not sure what group file to use, and what property files to use for manual and the tip?).
How about the older A4 and Passat?

The list of cars you can log came with the ecux. Look closely at the files, specifically "Property files.xls".

Property files.xls - this file does NOT exist on my computer.
The 'properties' folder contains files VAG100.ECU to VAG164 (65 files).
That's all. No info on what years/cars/models/engines can be logged with ECUx.

File is located inside the zip file you obtained from the internet that contained ecux installation:

ecux_install.zip\ecux_install\Property files.xls

Hmmh. Not on my computer. Even downloaded again the original rar file. Nothing.
Can someone just post the XLS file? Or email to: info(at)regulatorfix(dot)com?

In case someone is looking, I attach the file here.

To answer my own question:
- Nothing before MY2000
- Earliest 1.8T are 2000 as well
==> nothing for my old A4/Passat

I reworked the spreadsheet and separated the information into columns.
Sorted by Make/Model/Engine/Year

Spreadsheet attached (makes it a bit easier to find the correct Properties File for the car)

What group file to use with 2001 Allroad TIP? I don't have a "K" group listed, only M, A, H, RS4 GT, RS4, RS6.

Below are the properties files, years, models, listed for TIP (or NO indication) cars and 2.7T engines (NA):

VAG119   2002   Audi   A6 NA   2.7T   TIP   4B0907551AL   S0001
VAG119   2002   Audi   Allroad NA   2.7T   TIP   4Z7907551M   S0001
VAG120   2001   Audi   S4 NA   2.7T   TIP   8D0907551L   S0001
VAG121   2000   Audi   S4 NA   2.7T      8D0907551A   S0003
VAG122   2002   Audi   S4 NA   2.7T      8D0907551T   S0003
VAG122   2002   Audi   S4 NA   2.7T   TIP                      S0003

Make a new group file, add the variables you want to log.

So there is no 'right or wrong' group file.
It could only happen that I am selecting parameters that are not available from the ECU.

Make a new group file, add the variables you want to log.
