I need to do a ecu swap for audi a4 1995 with AEB engine. Ecu is ME3.8.2 I think(?) and the car has separate immo box.
Ecu number is 8D0907557  Bosch number 0261203550/551. Original ecu got somehow fried and the car is not starting anymore (Immo light goes off when trying to start). I have another used AEB ecu with matching part numbers but the immo is causing troubles.

What options do I have to get my car runnig with the spare ecu?
Could I just desolder eeprom 24C02 from my old ecu and solder it in the spare one?
I know that one option is to read contents of the original 24C02 and then write spare one with it, right? But what is the difference if I replace the whole 24C02 chip? Unfortunately I do not have any eeprom programmer so I could read/write the eeprom so any code swap/immo off mod would be hard to do.

It would be much appreciated if someone could help me.

Yes, swapping the 24C02 would be fine.
