And did you enable IMMO, log into ECU, adapt immo/vehicle data BEFORE logging into cluster?

I enabled immo yes, but log into ecu and adapt immo/vehcile data? How do you do that?

Find VAG EEPROM Programmer (MHHauto or wherever) and see if it comes up with a different pin....I dont trust vagcommander on RB4 clusters...especially when it comes up with a 5 digit pin for a B6. Vagcommander likes to brick those clusters. If you post the cluster part number, I'll see if I have a virgin BIN to flash and learn like new.
I pulled this file from the s4 cluster, I will go outside and get the part number in a sec

you have posted this file 3 times now and its as useless now as it was the first time.

your cluster pin is wrong. you are missing a very important step.

Need to set the cluster to NEWMODE and get an unencrypted dumb, then set it back to ADAPTED before you can continue.

This is a 5 minute procedure start to finish.

i might have pasted this but now I see where I went wrong.
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_III_Immobilizer_Swapping_(Instrument_Cluster)

I used got both skc's using vageeprom, which is an awesome program.
I finally was able to log in. My login was wrong so vag commander sucks is what I found out. So I got eveyrthing programed correctly until I got to the key part. Turns out this key doesnt even work!! urgh. So on that topic Can I buy a b7 key and have it cut to work with my car? Or should I just stick with the b6 a4 key? Thanks for the help guys. It was right infront of me I just had to dig deeper

Vagcommander ruins things. I stopped using it....a few times I backed up files, and realized that the offsets were off on the read when it was already too late and I was stuck searching for ori's. It 99999999's TT clusters....yuck.

But what did the cluster pin end up being for that dump?

The dealership is closed here, is it possible to set an old key to virgin state for programming? Or do I need to be patient and wait till tomorrow?

Once a transponder is matched to an immo ID it can only be rematched to the same ID. Never a new one.

transponders are reusable if they were matched to this car before, so even if you swap cluster you can just reuse them and learn them according to rosstech immo3 procedure

adaptation channels 60, 61, 62 are powertrain, infotainment, and global CAN configurations. Make sure they match the old cluster.

I'm still stumped! I login and then I go to adaptation in the cluster to match the Ecu. I program it to the old skc from the Ecu, but it says not okay when I press test?
The Ecu Immo is turned on and the login (skc) is the same. I'm trying to program the cluster to the Ecu. I then check the Immo id on the cluster and it doesn't match the Ecu. The Ecu turns out is the original that was in the car from factory. This is making it so I can't match the key to the cluster to stop the flashers from blinking. I even put the cluster in virgin mode with vag eeprogrammer. Where am I going wrong? I read instructions and did my research. The only thing I could think of is 1: I need to flash the cluster with another file to possibly clear up this error or 2: get a new seed key reader. The part that is around the ignition cylinder that reads the chip in the key. Or am I way off?
