Strange problem
« on: September 26, 2011, 11:05:17 AM »
Hello to all i will be brief and straight to the subject. A friend of mine has a seat ibiza 1.8t with ecu "f800". The problem is that the readings for lambda are always 1.99. I switced the lambda probe with a new one, i checked the lambda hardness ok. I switched the ecu with the one from my car nothing happend. I am thinking that there is some kind of sortcircuit at some other sensor. Any ideas where to look? Has anyone had the same problem before?

Is it steady or does it oscillate?
I thought block 31 only displayed voltage?

No it is steady. Block 31 in 1.8t displays in the first squeare the actual lambda and in the second the requested lamda. The strange thing is that in the first it should dispay 1.00 until the probe reaches it's operational temperature and start the mesurement. This one displays 1.99 or 5 Volts (found in an other channel) all the time. I think the prolem is not at the lambda proe its self but in some other sensor or at the hardness but i don't know where to look. Thanks for the help.

Try unplugging the sensor and logging output. I have seen that I still get oscillation with an unplugged sensor.
