I finally installed my wideband this weekend. Well, partially.
I installed the wideband sensor in the bank 1 rear O2 sensor bung. I ran the sensor harness up, through the firewall, through the ECU box, all the way to the controller in the glove box. I am still undecided if I am going to leave the controller in there because it is kinda awkward. The way it is designed, wires come out of both ends.
The only wiring that I had time to complete was, switched 12v at 75x, and the ground at the fuse panel. Hopefully, I will get the chance to finish the wiring this weekend. It plan on tapping for RPM from pin 37 (green/blue wire) and TPS from pin 92 (black/grey wire). A recent post on QW suggested that tapping the TPS is uneccessary because it is typically logged through ECUx or ME7L anyway. So, I might skip it as the less hacking into the wiring harness the better.
I installed my ZR-2 gauge on the steering column in a Podi gauge pod I got for $20 from the S&D sale. I'm pretty happy with it.
Anyone have a good method for merging ZDL logs with ECUx or ME7L? I haven't had a look at the ouput yet because I still need a usb/serial adapter and to finish the wiring.
