Hello all,
I have 2007 VW GTI 2.0T BPY and drived it a lot of km chip tunned. One morning on engine start the EPC Light and Check engine lights on. The error diagnostic show is P0601 - Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error. When clear the error just after engine ignition the light comes on again.
I have downloaded from this forum (http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,739.msg6213.html#msg6213) the 1K0907115H (which is exact same number as mine) and installed on the car. With this flash it was unable to start because of immobilizer activated. I have disabled immobilizer and now it is going just fine but without immobilizer.

Is it possible to fix the checksum of my tunned flash so I can install it again and revert everything as it was - with immobilizer on and tunned. I have attached to this post my old flash - chipped but with checksum error.

ECU Info:
1K0907115H
0261S02301

Thanks

Doesn't the link to the file appear to you at the bottom of the post ? If not - I can upload it somewhere else and provide a link.

You mean the attached file "golf5 GTI TFSI - BPY -1K0907115H.bin" is a stock file? If so it means I have loosed my tunned one. I was quite sure this is the downloaded from the car tunned flash.
No matter what happened ...  Now I need a file with fixed checksum. Could you fix checksums of this one?

But then do you have an idea why just after clear the error and engine start the error appear:

P0601 - Internal Control Module Memory - Check Sum Error
... UPPER LIMIT EXCEEDED

The EPC Light is on just after first ignition and on the next ignition the Check engine lights on too.

Maybe there is something wrong in the EEPROM?

How did you deactivate the immobilizer?
