I already have the DAMOS for my Me7.1.1  I am looking at the VVT maps right now. I have 4 maps of intresst.  There is 2 Maps for in/ex-cam (Basis cam winkel) and 2 Maps in/ex-cam for normal duty.  My plan is to first edit the VVT-Maps for warm engine.  First i will set all to 0" just to test. Then i will make a map where no overlapp takes place. I think im going to retard cams on low rpm and slowly move both cams togheter towards advancing them..  What do you guys think?


Ohh and what about KFZW1 and KFZW2    (is these ign @ retarded cam and @ advanced cam? Or can i just do one ing curve for all maps and copy paste?)

Correct, those would be the 6x18 maps I was referring to.

I found it worked best when I made the 16x18 map similar to the four 8x16 map that you are changing.

As for KFZW1 and KFZW2, I just started with the stock curves and added timing as I went along. So in other words, I kept the same fundamental shapes and then added timing to that shape in the areas where I could sustain it.

Since i run turbo i keep the shape of the standard curves and retard ignition in high load areas.. I just discovered that my old ign was just copy pasted for all areas despite advanced cam or retarded cam.. hmm doesnt seem correct.. As an example In a BMW ECU MS41.0 with vanos i can se they have: "Ign advanced VVT" and "Ign retarded VVT"..   

Now im a bit confused.. Lets say that I set all VVT map points to "0".. Then there will be no advance/retad right?  Then it would be more correct to use same timing in KFZW1 and KFZW2?

The first important thing is to reduce the overlap between the cams when running high boost.

From the internet:
"Typically an an advanced exhaust cam combined with retarded intake cam will provide the best results on a supercharged car, especially with a restrictive exhaust."

This means to me that I should remove all overlap and slightly advance EXH cam and retard INT cam as a start to get better spool in low RPM area when running a larger turbo. But when RPM climbs up to the highr RPM area i retard the Exhaust cam more and more as RPM climbs.
