Hello Guys
Im searching for a mappack for my s4 b5 ...551d ECU to view the maps and calculations in the file. It should be for WinOLS.
Those Mappacks i loaded for the ...551M ECUs seem to be wrong.
Im wondering if someone could help my out with that.
Im new, but i want to learn a little bit about chiptuning and sometime change a little an the software on my own.
Thanks in avance. Dennis

Before wanting to change software on your own, it would be nice to do some research and try to understand what the maps are, and in order for that to happen, the best way is to search for them yourself, not to be spoon-fed a complete map pack. That's how people end up on here saying "OMG where is map x y z in this file because I can't find it", yet they think they can tune cars, and yes, I'm talking about maps that ARE actually in the aforementioned files.
good luck with your project anyway, maybe I'm harsh but I know in some aspects I'm right too.

Hello IamwhoIam No offense, but i know, that its not easy And yes, i want to do some research before i change the software on my own. But i think its easier to understand how the things work when you can see them By the way, ive some experience in tuning engines, but i started with a free programmable ecu greetings

Seriously? You can't find the 551M.kp? http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=8058.0title=but is there a problem to get such a file for the 551D's or whats the deal with that?
Why do you need the 551D def?

Convert to M, call it a day.
D might be bosch MAF, so you'll have to copy MLOFS and MLHFM from a bosch file.

Nyet is saying use the 551m on your car, as your new tune to build from. The m file is very well defined and used in place of other versions on the S4.
The only reason to stick with a d would be that you have a tune a just want to change one thing. If you plan to tune your s4 yourself I would use the 551m and look for a thread on here that makes it super simple.

This is why he won't convert to the M. He wants to do a stock to tuned comparison. Nyet is right, though. Read through the wiki, do research on the forums, and make one yourself. You'll learn the right way, and will ultimately have a better understanding. I would say the 2.7T is the most covered platform on here.
