Need help with running to lean off idle with 3" k&n air intake but fine with stock intake, only happened when changed to a different tune.

Don't do it. Stick with a full airbox, or you'll have recalibrate all your MAF tables. Huge waste of time and effort for zero gain, unless you're facing unfixable packaging problems.
