You disable immo in Ecu.
You are doing something wrong , write some more - what car , what year , part numbers of clusters etc.
You dont need the pin of your old cluster , you put in the new , login with its pin , adaptation channel 00 , then login and key matching.
Thanks for reply.
I make the procedure (very easy in theory...) for IMMO2 key matching of Rosstech.
I have pin of old cluster (useless) and of the new, got with vag commander and working (login is accepted)
Cluster part number 8L0919880A (was L the original but is the same) IMMO2 both.

I have vcslite and vagcom 3.12 software with cable (working usually perfect on my 1999 Italy A3 )
[Adaptation - 10]
Enter 21 in "Channel Number".
[Read]
The "Stored Value" is the number of keys currently matched.
Enter a "new value" corresponding to the total number of keys to be matched, including any existing keys.
Any old keys are automatically being cleared. All keys, including existing keys, must be matched at the same time.
[Save]
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
Repeat the following steps until all Keys have been matched:
Switch Ignition OFF and remove Key.
Insert the next Key and switch Ignition ON.
The Immobilizer Warning Light will light up for ~2 seconds, wait until it goes out, indicating that the key has been matched.
I make in this way, when i put the key (i have only ONE key) the immo light go out and engine starts BUT if a close the igniton and turn ON again it start blingking again ! And again...and again...
In the instrument log i find (after some trying...)
17978 - Engine start blocked by Immo.
01176 - Key 65 - 10 - Unauthorized - intermittant
01176 - Key: Signal too Low
01179 - Incorrect Key Programming 35 - 00 -
So i suppose somenthig wrong with the trasnponder/receiver.
THe key is working perfectly with "old" cluster (that has only FIS broken).
Any idea ?
