So if i don't undestand bad with IMMO off :
- the ECU and engine work correctly, whitout problems or shut down
- the vdo cluster itself complaints about no matching keys, so led blinking and errors in log of instrument channle. Is right ?

The same tha using a IMMO emulator ?
Is just to learn all info !

Thanks.

Where are you from?  I've got a brand new (BX PN) IMMO2 FIS cluster.  Don't need it; can ship.

Hi, i'm trying to study the immo2 of my car (Italy A3 1.8 Turbo 4 of 1999) because i need to swap instrument cluster, do to led problems. I 'm trying to retrive PIN from dashboard using Vag Commander 2.4. It reads the instrument eprom that i saved but givea a worng pin, i tried to log-in wit vag-com but it is refused. It gives 6392 as wrong login. I tried to change km of dashboard and it has worked without problem, so the cable and the software seems ok.
I read that the PIN is visible in hexdump of the IMMO2 eprom but i don't know where.
Is possible any help !
Thanks a lot to all !

I repost my "old" explanation og the problem...

Yes , that is!

Where is in the hex DUMP ?
Just to understand ...
I put a note that i found in other forum, very IMPORTANT : i made a wrong login (i put all 0000 just to try) and after tried with the correct pin. Login FAIL again. So i supposed that pin was wrong. ERROR : the pin is correct !
AFTER A FAILED LOGIN YOU MUST LEAVE THE IGNITION ON FOR ABOUT 15 minutes  to "reset" the instrument module !!!!
IGNITION ON !

Vag-com was right, i only want to understand in dump for my satisfaction...
Thanks !!!!
