I bought a used cluster off ebay to put in my girlfriend's New Beetle.  The new one is from a '07 I believe.  1C0920500F.  My problem is that it has 24k miles on it, her car has 160k on it, and i'm trying to set it to her correct mileage, and maybe even match a key to it.  I've tried all the typical cluster softwares on it, but I've had no luck.  VCDS, Vagtacho, VAG EEPROM programmer, and VAG CAN Commander, and none have given me any success.  i know its a Magneti Marelli, vs the mk4's VDO.  I can poke and prod at mk4 clusters all day, but not much seems to work with Beetle clusters.  is there anything out there that will allow me to do anything to it?

VCDS, wont do anything unless is has like 10 or less miles.

VAG EEPROM programmer, if i tell it to set mileage, it connects and tries, but says something about incorrect software version.

Vagtacho, i can read eeprom, but it wont let me pull any kind of PIN or set mileage, or anything.  i can hit read memory buffer and i can get a readout of the eeprom, but it doesnt look much like a typical mk4 eeprom.

VAG Commander crashes after it finally connects.

I'm lost.  any help would be greatly appreciated.
