I was experiencing some strange behavior from my engine when taking off from being stationary. I'll try and explain whats going on to the best of my ability. Basically if I'm sitting at a red light and I'm idling in neutral, light turns green and I shift into first. When I begin to accelerate I just barely begin to move forward with the accelerator pedal only partially pressed and then my engine sounds like its revving up and I should be going much faster, but my car just keeps moving slow... So I'll be forced to shift into 2nd gear wayyy sooner than I'd like. At which point the issue usually goes away, but every now and then it happens in 2nd gear too... So I'll have to quickly shift out of 2nd and then throw it right back in and THEN it goes away... I initially thought it was my DV, I'm at 140,000 miles and I know it has never been replaced. But I bought my car stock at 125,000 miles and I'm the first person to probably even ever drive it at higher RPMs. Regardless I DO realize that whether grandma drives the car or rusty wallace drives the car, our DV is prone to failure at some point... So I'm considering replacing with a forge or something just as a precaution...

Anyways I flashed back to stock last night and suddenly I wasn't having the issue anymore... But I remember having this issue on and off before initially making any changes to my ECU.. So I think that it wasn't occurring because I had been driving all day at that point. So my car was all warmed up and I know that this issue tends to not really appear once my car had warmed up and is at optimum operating conditions...

Does this issue sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks.

It sounds like the tune made power.

im going to go out and try and record some logs and document exactly where in the log the issue arises so then there might be a better chance of coming to a conclusion in the matter.
