Hey guys,

My engine is in the car now and its running!!!! I have a 2008 Audi A4 2.0t FSI fully built motor, gtx3071r , I.E intake manifold RS4 injectors. I have a stage 3 base file STFT are 5% LTFT are 0.0. When i'm driving around in the city and push the clutch in the car stalls. I actually have to blip the throttle to keep it from shutting off. Which maps do you suggest that I look at first?

KFMRES/KFMRESK?
Try logging what happens to load and ignition angles when it happens.

Thanks for the input, Im going to do some research and see if I can locate these maps. My buddy helping out with the car told me something about a faulty clutch switch will cause problems too. I got them on order just gotta wait for them to arrive GRRR!! Ill keep post the end results and how I got there soon as possible

Look into what nubcake said. You have a bigger turbo, and if the ecu isn't mapped/ expecting this additional load/ exhaust restriction at idle, falling to idle (like coasting to a light, and putting it in neutral) this will happen. You should be able to diagnose a faulty clutch switch without replacing it, have you done that? Also throttle alignment, dirty throttle body, and boost leaks can cause this as well.

Vwaudiguy  I checked them. Ill check the throttle alignment next, I dont think I have any boost leaks or vacuum leaks, Ill double check them. No lean codes from vag com either.

Bad news I dont have those maps defined in either my Audi Files (115g) or My VW (115H) definition files. Ill look at some other ones to see if I can find them and transfer them over.

Yes. There's one map for clutch disengaged, and another for clutch engaged.

When I search 2A 14 46 75 0A I find the identical string. I found the X axis to it but i'm having a hard time finding the y axis, so half of the numbers make sense. The damos file that Im using to find it is from a 2005 A4 vs my car which is a 2008 A4. I guess when the clutch switch arrives it might make it better or my buddy will send me a file.

Ok, messed around with the clutch switch, cruise control is now working still stalls. A member privated messaged me about proper calibration of the RS4 injectors could be my problem. I'm going to attempt to work on the STFT.





When I look at the stock FKKVS map I see that there was a 5% decrease across the 700 rpm section vs the modified RS4 injector map.
I was wondering if i subtracted an additional -5.9 percent across the scale from 800 rpm would that tighten up my STFT?

The fact you have 0.0% LTFT tells me that they are disabled. It's impossible to have STFT corrections and zero LTFT if they are enabled. Or you have discovered some super genius fueling algorithm (possibly worth millions if you sell them to Bosch! Grin)

TijnCU  They have moved, I've seen the LTFT at -.9. This was a single screen shot at idle. How would you recommend I measure the STFT and LTFT with VCDS?

Gman86 the maf readings arent always at 364g/sec. 

Im still breaking in the engine and I was told not to do any full throttle rips until I get 1000 miles on it. Im currently at about 250 miles.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LTFT should remain in the RAM so if you check them now in measuring block 032 it should display the current trim. Its highly unusual that the trim is that spot on, factory margin is +/-10%! (thats a huge margin, would want to have them within 5%) Since you use a prepped file, I suspect the long term fuel trims are disabled in the software for calibration purposes.

Got the clutch switch changed, the rpms drop off even faster and it stalls almost every time now. The car is still running rich -5.9 stft idle and -7.9 part throttle. We are working on addressing it. We assume it has something to do with the intake manifold, we are adjusting the load. Does anyone know how to shut off the increased rpms for catalytic convertor warming? I dont have KFNLLKHM in my definition is the correct name for a MED 9.1?
