B6 1.8T BFB

« on: October 10, 2016, 12:32:15 AM »

Greetings from Bulgaria.
I've been reading this forum for a while and came up with a tuning file for my car. What I basically used is the file V7 and .xdf V7 from the well known tread.
I also used BitCompare or Beyond Compare to create my own .xdf file. What i couldn't find is LAMFA_ROWAXIS and LAMFA_COLAXIS and I'll appreciate if someone give me the addresses.
I also don't understand where is the difference depending on what Octane fuel the car is running. We Run 95 octane or 98 or 100.
Checksum are OK.
My question is is this file ready for writing in my ECU or I should make changes.
Thanks.

Include logs if you want your tune to be rated.

you have A LOT more to read about and to test and try for yourself. Your file doesn't look horrible but you've missed quite a few things. Also, not having a clue what the difference between 95 98 and 100 is and making your timing map perfectly dead-smooth in 3D won't help much. Good luck to you.

I uploaded this .bin to my car created with ME7Wizzard.xls wanting 1.2bar of boost. Here are the logs. I have a problem with Idle - RPM not stable. Also 3rd gear pull not accelerating fluently, it's not like pull then stop then pull but i feel it. I now that something is limiting my requested boost and load. KFMLDMX still wanted. 10x. Any opinion will be helpfull.

There are alot of things wrong here, but one thing that stands out is that the MAF signal seems very low.  Have you scaled your MAF?

Certainly no need for KFMLDMX changes at these maf readings.    Do you mean KFLDIMX?

 Have you scaled your MAF?
Didn't scale MAF. I haven't changed anything MAF, MAF housing or so. Why do I have to scale it. I'm following these instructions that I found here for 518AA or basicaly for Stage1.
LDRXN Limit to 160 or so and you won't really need to mess with KFLDIMX or KFLDRL
KFZW1 Reduce timing at peak load
LAMFA Add some fuel from 3000rpm on. Request an AFR of around 12:1
KFMLDMX Increase a bit, only at the peak airflow sections
KFMIRL/KFMIOP leave alone
KFDHBN leave alone as well
KFTARX Set to all 1's
KFDLULS you can increase a little bit, but there's no need for stage 1.

I'm searching for KFMLDMX because according to instructions it's a load limiter and has to be increased.
Further explanations needed please. 10x

Another question that bothers me is why LDRXN is supposed to be limited  to 160.... 160*10+300=1900-1000=0.9bar.
I think that k03-029 can cope with more boost.

You didn't leave IRL/IOP alone, you should.  Or use BAM one, it has plenty of load.

And yes, it can handle more boost - but it's a "stage 1", remember?  Ask for a reasonable amount.  Remember that calculation is rough.

Currently using file from the first post. Corrected Lamfa Colaxis addres and it worked fine. Still car pulls not fluently. Waiting for new laptop battery to take logs. I'm working on BFB .xdf file through this time. 10x for all your replies.
