I've tried every memory layout, and every Baud rate, fast and slow init, with key cycles and close and restart program each time, and this is my result:
Validated FTDI device is in dumb mode.
Disconnected
Connecting...
Starting slow init connection.
Connecting to address 0x01.
Slow init succeeded.
Switching to KWP1281 session.
KWP1281 connect info: 8D0907557P 1.8L R4/5VT MOTR HS D04

ecu is 8d0907557p. can't read the ecu...any suggestions? search netted nothing for this ecu or even the 'm' box.

Aeb is m5.92 not me7. Nefmoto is only for me7. Unless you pull the chip on the board you won't be able to read out a file. Mpps will port flash but will not read.

Ahh. Thank you. I was wondering if this was one of the old chip-a-roos...I wasn't too keen on removing my ECU as it has been raining here. Will just have to wait and pull it later. How lame is it I get one just old enough not to be able to tune myself, and my GLI has a commercial tune on it...gheyyy. Oh well. Thanks again.
