My s4 has an apr 93 octane tune. It's. 2001.5 car. I'm assuming it does not have a chip soldered in? Can I reflash the ecu without any issues as long as I don't try to read the ecu? I have an eBay cable with the ftf232 chip.
Also can I use the me7 logger on the apr tune or will that cause me problems?

I'm hoping to avoid having to buy another m box. The previous owner lied to me about a whole list of things with the car so I'm dealing with wiring repairs and some maintenance repairs now.

I do have the nefmoto community stage 2 tune on my laptop

Open it and look

If there is no riser, if nefmoto flasher doesn't work, you can always bootmode.

If you do not have a riser, recommend boot mode reading the current flash before doing anything else.

If you do have a riser, you will need another ECU or you'll need to replace the riser with a new flash (preferably blank or preprogrammed with stock).

Yes.

What are you referring to as a riser? A soldered in chip?

Will I be able to use boot mode with my eBay ftf232 cable or do I need the galleto cable

If you open the ECU it will be immediately obvious if you have a riser board or not

You will have to hack the galletto exe to have the serial # of your ebay cable.
