Hey Guys,

wondering why when i flash a different file with same ECU number the new file won't let me start the car... when i scan with vagcom... its got the immobilizer error..

but i thought the immo details were in a different chip inside the ecu which sync's with the cluster..

or is there immo data inside the ecu file aswell?

It would help if we knew which vehicle/ecu you were referring to.

Which file are you trying to flash onto it?  Either it isn't the correct file or you are trying to flash a file with custom coding on it to prevent this sort of ad-hoc flashing by random people. I.e. Rev0/APR/Eurodyne etc.
