212 : Was F4 Set it to A7
213 : Was F7 Set it to 10

281 : Tachometer Scale - Was 00 set to 10 this will scale tachometer right to the end.
269 : Speedometer Scale - Was 00 set it to 10 this will scale speedometer right to the end.

Speaker has been disabled by changing values located at:
204,205,206,207 to 00

To fix DEF issue displayed next to millage you need to calculate checksum for speedometer map. With VCDS or VAGCOM go to Instruments - Recode - Do it.

I tested that on my cluster (Golf mkiv) 1j0920826c but it does not work. I managed to up the needles changing addreses 0x231 and 0x249 from 00 to 10 but them dont back down. I also was testing 0x1e0 and 0x1e1 from F4 F7 to A7 10 respectively with not success... after flash eeprom cluster was like "bricked": with no needle movement at all. After some trial and error I realized that the problem is when I change F4 to A7 at 0x1e0

OP is using a B5.5 Passat cluster. It's possible the locations/values are different between that cluster, and yours. A bit surprised there are no cluster part numbers anywhere in the thread. Not sure what cluster type/ part number the info Marty posted pertains to. Anyway, thanks for posting your results!
