I have never seen the Request Out of Range error before. What version of the NefMoto software were you using? Version 1.9.1.2 has a bit better handling when it comes to starting diagnostic sessions.

I was using latest version BETA 1.9.1.2.... Is there maybe something i did wrong and consequently get this error? Or is it the ECU causing the problem...

Can you post the log file from the NefMoto software?

The ECU may require a special format or something to properly connect.

Thanks for posting the log. It doesn't appear as thought the diagnostic sessions ever get started correctly. The existing diagnostic session works until we try to enter programming mode, and then it fails because we couldn't start programming. But when it fails to start the programming session it only tried one format, when it should have tried three. I will see if I can find the bug in the code to fix that. Hopefully I can find the bug tonight.

The NefMoto software handles a few different negative response types when starting a diagnostic session. The RequestOutOfRange error was not one of the negative responses that was handled, and this caused the diagnostic session to not be started. I have made a code change that will now handle that negative response, and allow NefMoto to try the other possible formats for starting a diagnostic session.

This fix will be in the next NefMoto software release. I am not sure when I will make the next software release, because I have a bunch of file format changes I am currently working on that break compatibility. I will try to release an update sooner rather than later though.

Great! Glad to see that you found the bug and that the problem was just in software not handling the negative ecu response...fixing it in next release will probably not just help me but many others trying to flash ME 7.5.2....

Thanks!! Keep up the good work! Cheesy

Keep an eye out for version 1.9.2.0. That version will have the fix in it. But I need to change some file format versions before I can release it, which is causing the delay.

Hi I tried with 1.9.2.0 and now ecu enters programming mode but after that, reading is impossible as ecu says service unavailable(log attached). So do I have to read this ecu in boot mode? I did some research on ME 7.5.20 and found out that main micro-controller is st10f275 using 4kb m95040 SPI eeprom. So could please somebody tell me what is the contents of eeprom and what is the contents of micro controllers flash?(Software and maps in flash, configuration and checksum in eeprom???) When I want to upload tuned map do I need to flash flash and eeprom? Please Tony take a look of my log....Thanks guys!!
