Hi

From start sorry, that my english is not so well.

I have a Aeb in my audi 80. 3 days before i start to changing my engin harnes and ecu from m 3.2 to m3.8.2 and 3.8.3.
I make a short connection +, -, and k- line. Check that ecu is ok and remove immo (9A-50) and check that is ok. I start engin and see in vcds that is working. So I put a harnes, connect rpm vss and power from relay. After that I connect vcds see that is ok and start engine; and i see message" controler not response". I check with another ecu and it's the same. I make another power connection to obd2 and short connection to k-line, i change options in vcds and vag-com(i have another interface for vag-com).
I ask on some polish forum, and they don't know what to do. When i connect interface when car is running i see "interface not found".
Maybe someone of you will be have advice ?

How did you connect VSS signal?  From cluster to ECU, or from gearbox to ECU?
Disconnect VSS signal then try to connect VCDS

That is problem. Cut VSS wire that go to ECU. I will explain later how to connect it.  Now try to make comunication with VCDS.What does VCDS say when you press TEST under setings post screenshot? Did you try other interface?

Faen. Still nothing. I delete immo from my third ecu (agu) with finish number cj.
And that same. I cut rpm,vss signal.

This i see in test.

This is after engine start

This is deleting immo

I also clear dtc code in eprom but when i connect ecu i see

I clear it, and dont come.

I use polish interface from viaken it works with vag-com 409-1.

I also have autocome clone (cdp) i don,t used it. I do it soon.

One guy on polish forum see to me to connect + stright from battery, -  from ecu and k-line closer to ecu. I do it ang nothing.

So on ignition everything works fine, but when you start the car you can't connect VCDS?
I don't have idea, check again harmes, and electric circuit around fuel pump relay. Check with multimeter does ECU have stable voltage

Yes that right.
It's strange because when harnes was outside car it work's fine.
Ok i check it.
It heve around 12,7V; when engin starting goes to 10V and later have 14,3V.

One man say that it will be good to chack useing oscilloscope, i don't have it, but i will buy it.

Double check harmes only you know what you did, when car starts ECU get 12V where it shouldn't, or something goes to ground.
That can be fuel relay or similar, check every ground (coils,ECU,MAF etc.)
Good luck  Wink
