Just playing around with some B5 S4 dashboard right now. Wondering if anyone has any idea where the language for the ""Press Clutch Pedal To Start Engine" might be stored

In the micronas I guess and rather not possible to modify , you want to change the information for something individual?

Yes that is correct. Just wanted to make a custom welcome however from further research it looks like you are right that the information is stored in the micronas chip. Furthermore it is said to be encrypted which gives me yet another barrier to entry.

I doubt this text is stored encrypted.
Anyway, make a dump of the cpu and search for it. It should be fairly easy to dump these Micronas mcu's using a tool like Xprog for example.

H2Detoo is right - there should be no encrypted data , especially in B5 S4 cluster ,vdo crypto clusters showed up in my2002 A6 C5 , A3 8L , A8 D2 , A2 , but only the eeprom od crypted and is always decrypted when reading thru kline
