I just bought face pads with kph to replece USA mph to EU standards on my cluster and problem is that they are scaled up to 280 kmh when USA were 260 kph. I read on this forum that it is possible to modify eeprom file of cluster to reprogram behave of a gauges. Can someone point me how to do it. Is this possible to edit eeprom with vagcanpro cable or must use other tool. Any help welcome. thx in advance

1. partnumber

Kombiinstr J285, 8R0920981N, driver H35 soft 0567,

2. have you tried by coding with vcds

nothing related to this, just spped ratio to alloy size but it doesnt apply in my situation

3. have you checked if there is a update to simply reflash dash with vcp/odis?

no,

Just read that must read eeprom edit it using winol and send back, but nothing more detailed so dunno which soft use, got 2 cables vcds and vcp pro. Can You point me to right direction.

The main problem is different scale on both of them:
eu kph
usa mph

Nope it is much to expensive.  Just dunno how to read eeprom from my cluster Can You help

Update

I can see that I can connect to component 17 cluster using vagcanpro  and read part of eeprom but just 248 bits of if when start from adress $100 of it instead of 2048 as in other dumps from a4 b7 or other vag cars. Do You know where is it located or how to read it?
