I'm I computer programmer who owns (or has in the family) a few VW/Audis.

2001 Audi TT 225 (1.8T 6-spd)
2003 Passat W8 (4.0 W8 6-spd)
2005 Passat V6 (2.8 V6 tip)
2001 Audi A4 (1.8T tip)

I have VCDS, which has been great for diagnosis and some small customization tweaks, but I want more.

I'm familiar with reverse engineering and bit-editing binary data. I've done it in the past for computer program data but not so much for my cars. (Big difference between setting a bit wrong and crashing a computer program vs destroying an engine.)

So I'm here to learn what I can, and contribute when possible.
