Anyone ever herd of this or can shed some light on why this is the case I would appreciate it.

Had an extra a6 3.0 ECU (8E0909559D) Bootmode Galleto Flashed B6 S4 File in (8E0910560G). Read the file back out perfect but the ecu wouldnt connect to anything or start the vehicle. Used a different b6 s4 ecu and had no issues. Then flashing a6 3.0 ECU back to similar software worked no problem.

Conclusion they are incompatible.

Thanks!

Did you check to see if they were both C167?

If they were both ST10 you need to make sure its the same CPU and you need to flash both iRom and xRom
