Hi, I have a 1999 Alfa 156 Selespeed with ME3.1,  HW:0261204949, SW:1277356500. EEPROM image attached.

I believe the Immo must already be off (I don't think these cars came without immo) as the only key I have is an all metal one and the car runs.
In the image I can see the word FAPRO.

The issue I have is the cars idle is high due to what seems to be a high 'idle control (self adaptation')' value stored in the EEPROM, currently 2.02 degrees according to diagnostic software. The idle surges between 1500 and 2500 RPM.
This seems to have happened to other cars with the same ECU after having the fly by wire throttle manipulated e.g. cleaning the throttle body.
With the later ME7.1.3 (as on 2001 and later Alfas) the throttle adaptation can be reset using diagnostic software but apparently not with the earlier ME3.1 like I have.

I'm a noob at this, so any suggestions for things to try or how to identify the idle control values? I tried writing all FFs to it in boot mode which seemed to have saved some changes when I reread the CPU while still in boot mode, but after taking it out of boot mode all values were back the same as they was prior to messing with it.
