I have a thoroughly trashed '02 Volvo V70 AWD with a solid motor (B5244T3) that I have been tasked with installing into a completely different vehicle... completely different. The engine is going to retain stock engine management, if the immobilizer can be defeated. No interest in trying to retrofit the cluster or any other electronics from the Volvo donor into the new chassis. Any BTDT with the Volvo ME7?

I think your gonna need to keep the CEM and the key chip pickup in the circuit if your going to use the original wiring /ecu... I dont know of anybody who has defeated the volvo security as yet.
Or you could just use the engine harness off a 1998 v70 as they are not chipped, but that will revert back down to Motronic 4.4
