hello to everyone! I'm luca from italy and this is my first post here!
I want to do some chipping test on my car and I'm going to find a second ecu to do them. is it possible to change my ecu (8N0 906 018 J bosch number 0261 206 794 and software 1037 360 284) with another part number ecu???for example it's easier to find a ecu from a 225bhp Bam motor...can I use it?

Welcome to the forum.

Try to find an ECU with a close part number for a car with the same engine and transmission options.

Comparing the hardware and software numbers will also help determine how close the ECUs are.

Then..my car has a 210hp motor, with variable cam timing, two lambda sond, without secondary air circuit and without EGR. The 225 hp motor has the same hardware and both the motors (210 and 225hp) are installed also in Seat Leon Cupra and the 225 hp in Audi TT (also with 240hp).

It is possible that any of the ECUs you listed will work.

For the engine in my car the 2001 Audi S4, any ECU for the 2.7T engine will work, which includes S4, A6, and Allroad.

Is there a method to verify this??? It's easier to find a ECU with these other codes...but I wouldn't buy a ecu not compatible! From the ECU numbers is it possible to verify something?

You can look for original files for these ECUs and compare them to an original file for you ECU.

There is no way to know before you test though.
