im having trouble with my ecu bin files. if i read 800bt it says memory layout is compatible and pulls a 1024mb file that if i check with me7check it says its meant to be a 512kb file but gives 0 errors, but when i edit say lxdrn and save with checksums corrected it says 3 non-repairable errors corrected, but if i pull a 512kb file off the ecu using the 400bt memory layout which it says is not compatible i can edit it and save with corrected checksums (using tuner pro btw with me7 license) it all checks out ok. now the main problem is, if i wanted to flash would i pull and edit a 512kb file or a 1024kb file? its a narrowband 1.8t dbw non vvt no sai so im presuming its a dual 512kb chip making it a 1024kb file?

As above, there is just a single 29F400BB (512kb) in that ECU.

If you are getting 1024 file you are reading incorrectly.

Ahh thank you, but how come the flasher says memory layout is invalid? Should I ignore this?

Yes, it is not always correct, unfortunately.

Brilliant, thanks for the reply’s, so just to sum up, it’s a 512kb (as stated above lol) and I should flash 400bb memory layout when writing? Many thanks again guys
