Noob, just signed up, but been poking around for a while. Forums are not my thing,,kind of hard to find info easily.
Have vag hex cable, clicked off the background check in the Ross software, closed that, refreshed devices on the Nefmoto software,it read the cable, plugged in my cable to the DLC,,turned the key on, green light on the cable.
I just want to download my stock info from the ecm.
Played with the baud rate,,to no avail,,no link

A genuine VCDS HEX-CAN cable should work perfectly fine, especially if its coming up on the list of FTDI devices on Nefmoto Flasher.

Might help if OP posts the log output.

Agreed.

It is worth noting that the vcds driver can conflict with the FTDI driver in some cases.

I found I had to do the following to recover:
1) uninstall both VCDS and FTDI drivers
2) install VCDS drivers and disable intelligent mode
3) install FTDI driver
