I would like to view VCDS logs with ECUxPlot.
Is it possible (just trying to open the .csv file in ECUxPlot is NOT working for me)?
What is required for ECUxPlot to open/view the file?
What is required when LOGGING with VCDS to ensure ECUxPlot compatible?

I was going to type out a sarcastic reply about ME7Logger being the only thing that should be used, but I think it should be a feature we could add.

I always try to us Me7 logger. But in a bind (don't have logger template for car on hand ready), I need to use VAGcom for logging.
Also need to use VAGcom for logging cars/ECU that are not Me7. And then viewing the data in ECUxPlot is just convenient.

I believe that ecuXPlot works with some VCDS logs... The problem with VCDS is that it is not very consistent in the log file it produces.   I know I have at least 3 different variations for parsing VCDS logs in VisualME7Logger.

You should try running your logs through VME7L and see if it works for you.

If you have problems using VCDS logs with ECUxPlot

1) make sure you have the latest version of both VCDS and ECUxPlot
2) if it still doens't work please post or send me a log and I will fix the issue.

ECUxPlot should work with VCDS logs but as others have said, RossTech loves to change their format around, making consistent parsing difficult.

One more time, please only post the original files. The file that is outputted after google converts the input is usually different from the original.

You've been here long enough that you should know better Tongue

I have had really nice results using Megalog Viewer. I think is more friendly for various different platforms (VCDS, VagCom, ME7Logger, talking just about VAG related ones). Well at least is my experience.

Thanks for your support, in particular, the extensive commentary on what you would like to see in ECUxPlot, and your many github pull requests.

Had to quickly log a friends car with VCDS. Not opening in ECUxPlot or VME7L. Can you 'fix'?

What version do you use? I tried 7.0 update, not working (Java issues). Back to 6.1. Not working on the file.
Windows 7 64 bit. Chrome, Firefox and IE.

see github for changes since 6.1 including trying to track oracle's completley shitty java version movement.
